Blogs from the team about Branding
All business owners, directors, CEO's and managers will, at some stage, have come across a seminar, course, or blog espousing the virtues of clearly articulating a Vision, Mission and Values - an awkward team bonding weekend or a whiteboard brainstorm session is hastily organised and more often than not the result is something vague and uninspiring written in corporate mumbo jumbo.
Please excuse me while I indulge myself a little bit here (warning: Trumpet blowing to follow) .... We've just found out that we have won a Silver Medal at the New Zealand Sign and Display Association Awards for our work completed on the Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi redevelopment here in Whakatane.
Quay Accountants is a prime example of a local business bucking the 'recession' trend. While other local businesses are doing it tough, Quay Accountants is going from strength to strength. To me they are another example of the 'good guys' approaching their business with passion, innovation and a determination to add value to not only their clients, but there staff also.
Tomorrow, our local Business & Leisure Show kicks off again - and we're proud to once again be an official sponsor.
I know for sure that the majority of stall holders have gone all out to ensure there stalls will win them the maximum amount of new business.
The crew from Antipodes Water have launched Lewis Road Creamery in a bid for global domination through Artisan Butter. From Whakatane to the world - go get'em fellas!
Fresh out of the studio is a new logo for Wainui Heights Alpacas. The client requested a logo to reflect their passion for the animals, commitment to the highest standards in natural colours and fibres (black and the light brown are their speciality) and the personalities of the directors.
...well, we're not, but our work is! Leading contemporary and traditional Maori artist, Rangi Kipa, commisioned us to make 8 large 3d, contemporary 'Pou' adorned with his artwork (the man has skills!) that will accompany the New Zealand team at tomorrow mornings London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony. They were packaged onto a large truck and then flown to London. I can't show you them here, so you'll have to keep your eye out for our tenuous connectiuon to the Olympics on the telly! Go Sarah in the BMX!
Sorry for the long break in posts. I went to Australia for a few weeks holiday and came back to some nice big jobs. We worked on a great project in setting up the new Whakatane Library & Exhibition Centre, Packaging mock ups for NZ Manuka Honey, a bunch of logo's for exciting new local businesses, unprecidented amounts of printing, signage and vehicles for all sorts, a seminar for local businesses attending the Beacon Business & Leisure Show and a sprinkling of websites.
The new Whakatane Library & Exhibition Centre has been a BIG job for us - the team went full on for 6 weeks working up to the opening, which was a great success.
We were very proud to have contributed Graphic Design, External Signage, Object Labels, Frosted Glass and Perspex Panels, Wayfinding Signs & the installation of those large mounted prints panels adorning the walls throughout the Exhibition Centre.
I don't usually try to sell stuff on this blog - however we have a new product that looks & feels awesome, & has a few of our customers stoked to the eyeballs, so I'm gonna share it anyway....
