Branded Clothing

Like everything we do - we have made a point of making it easy for our customers - in this instance to purchase branded clothing. We can print or embroider items you supply or source the garments for you. We've done the hard work, amassed an array of suppliers and enjoy generous wholesale purchasing power that you get to benefit from with our everyday low prices.

The process is simple. Tell us what you'd like - low cost t-shirts, merino jerseys, or genuine flexifit caps? No problem. We'll show you through the collections (catalogues) and order in samples for you to run by your team. People can get quite fussy when it comes to clothing (and fair enough too) so it's important you get the cut, fit, material (and price) that best suits your unique requirements.

Once you have settled upon garments, we'd mock up a proof of your design, based on your request, for your approval and then take it to print (or set it up for embroidery).

There are typically a number of questions that people have when it comes to printing garments, so in the interest of the greater good we've listed some of them below...

FAQ's

Do you have a 'minimum' and 'maximum' order for branded clothing?

Yes...ish. The minimum number of items to be screenprinted is 10 (we can do less than 10 items and we'll still need to charge the 10 item price). The process involves substantial 'setup' which is the reason for the minimum order. You can mix and match items ie: T-shirts, Jackets and Collared Shirts in order to make up the numbers - most people find it easy to cross this threshold. We have other clients that order 500-1000 garments at a time. There may well be an upper limit to the number of garments we can handle but we haven't been tested yet and we've handle some BIG quantities in our time.

How is the cost of Screenprinting determined?

Simple - the number of items, the size of the print and the number of colours involved.

How is the cost of Embroidery worked out?

By the "stitch count" - the number of stitches involved. The larger the embroidery or more intricate the design, the more stitches are required to achieve a good result.

What is the biggest/smallest I can print or embroider onto my garment?

This is largely determined by the type of fabric your garment is made from but the Rule of Thumb is... Screenprint up to 490x600mm for entire print and we recommend no less than 5mm high for text Embroidery again we recommend text be no smaller than 5mm high to as big as your garment can handle.

Do I need to factor 'setup' cost into my budget?

Yes. But only on the initial setup and not on any orders thereafter.

Why is that?

Before we can embroider your design for the first time we have to "digitise" the design. This is a process that allows our machines to capture the design exactly then reproduce it precisely, each and every time. This is a one time charge, as long as the size or specifications aren't altered. We do charge a re-set fee when you reorder, this is to cover setting up the machines to your unique set of specifications.

With screenprinting each colour, in each design, requires its own screen and you are charged for each screen used. Your design is "burnt" into re-usable screens and once your printing job is complete these screens are stripped ready to receive the next print job. When you re-order we have to "burn" your design into a screen again and for that there is a screen re-set charge but this is at a reduced cost.

Which is best -screenprinting or embroidery?

It's more about what is best for your requirements and budget. Large designs are best suited to screenprinting due to the excessive stitch count (that determines the cost) if they were to be embroidered. Where as Polar Fleece items are best embroidered as the fabric isn't suitable for screenprinting (being "fluffy" the print loses its sharp edges and detail). Most caps are only suited to embroidery.

How many colours can I have in my screenprint?

As many as you want but remember every colour requires a screen and each screen costs.

How do I reduce the cost of my screenprinting?

Reconsider the size of your print. A small print is anything 100x100mm or less, over that size is considered a large or X-large print and is priced accordingly.

......... your design and the number of colours involved. It could be that you'd be better to ask us about using the Digital Print process.

........your quantities - the more items we brand the lower the "per unit" cost.

What's the best way to workout what range of garment sizes I require?

All our catalogues have sizing guides in them and advice on different "fits" - if a size 12 usually works for you then it'll probably be the same with these garments but we can always get a size range in for you to try before you buy (on brand), sometimes unrequired garments incur a re-stocking fee.

Can you print textiles, other than clothing?

Sure can! We just use different methods for different textiles. Ask Us! - we're here to help.
